League trophy presented to Norwich Central Baptist Church 

Norfolk Christian Football League title winners, Norwich Central Baptist Church, were presented with the league trophy after their game with title rivals Heigham Park Rangers on Saturday (April 7).

Marcel Atkinson and Dan Henery of Rangers presented the league trophy to NCBC captain Ian Garrod (pictured above) after NCBC won the league match 4-2.

Having secured their third league title in a row, NCBC are now looking forward to a Bishop’s Cup final appearance next Saturday (April 14) against St John’s at the Football Development Centre Field of Dreams, in Bowthorpe near Norwich, KO 10.30am.

In the afternoon, Stalham Baptist will take on Sprowston Radicals in the Wroxham Road Shield Final, with a 2pm KO, also at the Field of Dreams.
All are welcome to attend both finals.

Heigham Park Rangers, who finished third in the league, have secured a prestigious Christian National Trophy semi-final, to be played at Recreation Road in Norwich on April 14 at 3pm against Kay Street Baptist from Rawtenstall, Lancashire, who play in the South Manchester & Cheshire Christian Football League.

Saturday also saw league newcomers Silver Road Baptist church record their first points of the season with a 4-2 win over Gateway Vineyard to lift themselves off the bottom of the league table.
