DerehamBaptist750Dereham church makes film to mark anniversary

Dereham Baptist Church has celebrated its 237th anniversary by producing a wonderful video meditation on Psalm 23.

Dereham Baptist Church has been alive and active in the town since 1783 - that’s 42 years before the Battle of Waterloo. To mark its anniversary, it is sharing this special meditation on Psalm 23 that it has put together in lockdown. Mark Cockbill has put together the video, which has a soundtrack by Graham Boulter.

The church hopes that the video will encourage and bless you in these difficult days:

In normal days the church would be celebrating a Portuguese-speaking service from 6pm onwards on Saturday, and an English-speaking service at 10.30am on a Sunday, with a Kidz church.

Through the present crisis it is continuing to support a CAP debt advice service, and its bookshop Green Pastures hopes to re-open once lockdown restrictions are lifted.

The church is connected to the independent charity Love Dereham (derehambaptist.org/love-dereham), which strives to show love to the people of Dereham through a range of practical, tangible projects.
